Every Child Has a Spark — We Help You Find It.
For nearly 30 years, Creative Child has helped parents discover and nurture the creative side of their children — and now we're building something even bigger to make that journey easier than ever.
It Started With One Question: How Do I Inspire My Child?
In 1997, our founder Scott Reichert started Creative Child as a monthly printed magazine in Southern California with a simple mission — give parents the resources and inspiration to nurture their children's creativity.
What began as a regional publication grew into a national digital magazine in 2004, expanding through a thriving website, a passionate social media community, and our award-winning recognition programs honoring the very best in creative products for kids.
Along the way, we've reached millions of parents and built one of the most trusted voices in creative parenting. But after nearly three decades, we realized something was still missing — a way to bring inspiration directly into children's hands. That's why we're launching the Creative Child Course Library: a video-based platform that lets every child explore an entire world of creative possibilities.
Parents Shouldn't Have to Guess What Their Child Loves.
Every year, parents spend hundreds — sometimes thousands — of dollars enrolling their kids in classes for activities they may never actually enjoy. Dance lessons that go unwanted. Piano lessons quit after a month. Art classes that never click.
It's not because the child isn't creative. It's because they never got to discover what would truly light them up.
Maybe your daughter would have lit up at the flute, but you signed her up for ballet. Maybe your son would have fallen in love with photography, but you assumed he wanted soccer. Without a way to see all the options, kids and parents are working blind — and a lot of creative potential gets lost in the gap.
We believe there's a better way.
Three Truths That Drive Everything We Do
The Creative Child Course Library
Imagine your child sitting down and watching short, beautifully produced introductory videos taught by professional musicians, dancers, painters, photographers, and performers — exploring every creative art under one roof.
They light up at the flute. The piano feels boring. Photography sparks something in them. You watch them discover who they are. No multi-month commitments. No guessing games. No wasted money on lessons they didn't want.
One subscription. Over 50 creative arts. Endless discovery.

Parents Who Believe Creativity Matters.
If you're a parent who knows in your gut that creativity isn't a luxury — that it shapes how your child thinks, solves problems, and sees the world — you're in the right place.
If you're a homeschool family looking for genuine creative enrichment that goes beyond worksheets, you're in the right place.
If you want to nurture your child's creative side but don't know exactly how to start — or which art form will speak to them — you're in the right place.
You don't have to figure this out alone. That's what we're here for.
When I started Creative Child in 1997, I just wanted to help a few parents feel less overwhelmed. Twenty-eight years later, I'm more excited than ever — because we're finally building the tool I always wished I'd had: a single place where every kid can discover what truly lights them up. Thank you for being part of this journey.
